The tender young leaves of this China green tea from the Douyun district of Gui Zhou Province are covered with a very fine down, and must be handled with particular care. Leaves : delicate, fine needles dotted with silver tips that dazzle like snowflakes. Nose : a brisk, alpine scent hinting at cedar exhales from the cup. Liqueur : a luminous infusion; the freshness of blooming spring flowers give the cup its vigour, highlighted by a slightly tannic quality that smoothens, lingering long on the palate. Floral, its finale is marked by the greenness of exotic guava. A truly distinguished tea.
Presented in a Mariage Frères black pouch.
