A privileged relationship with the planter has brought forth a ‘Suprême’ harvest and a meticulous imperial tea. Like the rarest of Cognacs, the best harvests issued from reserved parcels are married together to create the jewel of the already unique and extravagant collection of Pu-Erh available on the Mariage Frères tea menu. Dried leaves:The young leaves, elegant and golden, release a profusion of noble fragrances evoking black truffle wet with morning dew, the flowery-scented wood of the cocoa tree, and roasted chestnut. Infused leaves:Blazing amber. The infused leaves evoke a reverie of a forest walk surging with the aromas of autumn, joined by captivating notes recalling an antique mahogany humidor and a dash of musky Cologne. Liqueur Pale gold. The infusion is delicate, dense and rich with a myriad of fabulously seductive and enchanting notes. The graceful prelude of a bouquet of lotus, persistent and perfumed, is followed by a sweet and subtle dash of cinnamon. A frank and layered heart note of fern and iris diffuse with vanilla and tonka bean before ascending in a soft, zesty finale. Heavenly and virtuous.
Presented in a Mariage Frères black pouch.
