The Mariage’ family archives show that as early as 1827 a French ship called “Fils de France” sailed the seas the world over transporting its tea. Today an antique tea crate from this ship is on display in Mariage Frères’ tea museum. With its sober lines and streamlined shape, the Fils de France teapot is crowned with a double golden handle and decorated with a magnificent fleur de lys.
